Seem to remember that being one of Jasper Carrot's better jokes, but the mole in question is not the furry underground variety, but the new MakerPro Mole 3D scanner. This will fill in where my Creality CR Scan 01 cannot go. The CR Scan is built for larger objects, and needs a good deal of space around the object if you want to get a decent scan. The Mole works at a much shorter distance from the object and as a result needs a lot less space to scan in.
Only really had time to do a few practice scans and a bit of a fiddle with Meshmixer to tidy up, but it looks like it could be a really useful tool. And hopefully one I can offer as a service to others. I also need to make time to write how things have been mentally for me at the moment, but that can wait as things are good at the moment. Let sleeping dogs and all that.
Back to the scanning this is a cast iron ornament that resides in the garden, it allowed me to mess with the settings and although my setting up could have been better it came out pretty good all in all. Have completed my second article now and I am working on my third, I'm not feeling as confident at the moment, not with my writing anyhow. Not sure if I will carry it on. Only time will tell.
