I have got to admit the last couple of months have seen my Black Dog return, and life has just been a long tiring drag. But last week I took a piece I had printed in to work, a pumpkin as it happens (Halloween). One of my colleagues' saw it and immediately asked if she could have one. Now then some prints you can sell and some you can't, due to licence restrictions.
Strangely enough I believe that had she handed me the file and asked me to print it I could have charged a bit more (You renting space on the printer basically), whereas if I print a model with the intention of making a sale I am technically infringing copyright. Anyhow I told her how much a reel of filament was and she has donated a reel of filament in return. This has pleased me greatly and given me a bit of a buzz. So here's what's been happening in the shed.
This beauty took 3 days and 15 hours to print, and tested my printers ability to operate for long periods of time without intervention.
Although the tree supports ( they support overhangs using trunks and branches ) make the quality of the model within, the actual model printed out really well. I have put a tube through it and hollowed out the lantern so that I can put an led in there. Led Zeppelin fans will understand why.
